1910's C.N. Cotton Large Navajo Crystal Natural Wool Banded Blanket 90" x 65"

Description

We are offering a vintage 1910's Large Navajo Indian Crystal Natural Wool Blanket.  Colors are beige, brown, gray and ivory.  The design consists of horizontal solid bands of various sizes with four interspersed wide bands, each containing a series of three stacked diagonal diamonds.  In excellent condition.  All four corner ties are present and intact.  Selvage is complete and tight all around the edges.  No holes or moth damage, no stains or fade.  Both sides are equally bright (photos 1&9).   Very clean, well cared for, no foul odors or other issues.  Measures 90" x 65".  Fresh out of the estate of Novella Lineberry (1939-2013) and offered here for the first time at no reserve.  Attached tag states "Bed blanket C.N. Cotton Navajo (Crystal) 19teens 90" x 65".  The Lineberrys were major collectors of Navajo and Rio Grande weavings.
