This tiara, made as part of the sapphire parure in 1908 by Cartier commissioned by Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich, was a remarkable wedding gift to his daughter, Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna on the occasion of her wedding to the Duke of Södermanland.
