Antique, c 1920's, Original Native American Navajo Rug, Yei Pictorial Design

A rare and original antique, c 1920's, Native American Navajo Yei pictorial rug, wall hanging, showing three Native American Indian females.
This rug is composed of mineral dyed hand spun wool and displays a nice, tight weave. The rug displays three Yei figures showing black hair, turquoise skin, orange tops, and black skirts. On each side of the figures are poles made from turquoise and orange colors. There are black and orange borders on the sides of the rug. The rug is in great condition, showing very little signs of damage, mostly with the selvage cords worn down a bit and some running of the natural orange dye. The rug measures 34" by 17".
