    Folding, 4 way glass
This goggle type has its roots in France, with most references relating them to ‘early French types’. The earliest advertisement sighted for this kind is dated 1904. They may have been a development of the 19th century ‘Railway Spectacle’ with protective glass side panels. They could be folded into a very compact shape and allowed good peripheral vision.

Leather shows heavy wear, trim is worn around nose and edges
    Leather between lenses is cracking
    Lenses have light scuffs
Vent holes above and over lenses
Goggles were stored flat for many years
Condition of goggles assumes may flight hours
Approx 10 1/2" x 3" at widest part without the straps
