Navajo Rug Large handmade antique 50" x 90"  Crafted Pre 1930s

Description

Up for auction is a Navajo Rug antique 50" x 90". See edges for evidence of authentic Navajo weaving with rich red, black, grey and white .  Rug shows evidence of age, and webbing has been added to places that frayed to prevent further damage. Please view all pictures.  Purchased from a Native American pawn shop in the Southwest in 1971 but more information on its early  ownership is unknown.  This piece was in a house fire but was expertly deodorized by a company specializing in this kind of work. The second picture shows the back of the rug where there is evidence of smoke damage.  There are no odors in the piece.  This piece comes from a smoke free and pet free home.
