This is a very nice and very scarce Imperial German Mountain/Medical galvanized steel canteen. It is marked W.M.F. 15 on the cap and WÜRTT. MET. / FABR. 15 stamped on the canteen for Württembergische Metallwarenfabrik and the date the 1915. The wool felt cover of the canteen does show some moth damage in places, very common for a piece of this age. There is no cup and no carrying harness. Reproductions of the latter can be obtained but original cover should be replaced before use.
Good condition for its age; wool felt cover is moth eaten, sturdy enough on canteen but I didn't want to risk ripping it to further inspect canteen. I can feel one thumb size dent through the cover.
