    Description

Up for bids is a very nice pair of vintage advertising ashtrays.  The lot includes:
    *  A souvenir ashtray from the 1967 Montreal Expo, which was that year's World Exhibition
.  The ashtray is made of a smoky glass, and it has white and gold detail depicting the Montreal skyline, the "Man the Explorer" exhibit, and the symbol of the Expo 67.  The printing notes "Copyright 1963 Canadian Corporation for the 1967 World Exhibition."  It measure 5" by 4", and it is in perfect condition, without cracks or chips.  On the reverse, it is marked as "Houxe Art" and "Pt. Marion, PA.  Made in USA."
It would make a wonderful addition to any collection of the
    Montreal
1967 Expo or World's Fair memorabilia.
    *  An advertising ashtray from the "Le Berkeley" Hotel in Paris.  Although undated, it is certainly an antique or vintage piece, since it is made of Limoges china.  In addition to the hotel name on the front, on the reverse, it is marked "Theodore Haviland Limoges France," "Haviland France," and "Theodore Haviland France."  Many markings to say essentially the same thing.
It measure 5.5" by 3.5", and it is in perfect condition, without cracks or chips.  It would make a great addition to any collection of Limoges china, ashtrays, or Parisian memorabilia.
