    Description

A VERY nice antique 1920's rug.
Came from a roadside stand during a road trip through the American southwest when that was an adventure of grand proportions.
At the time this was sold as a Navajo rug, but I think it was intended for tourists who wouldn't know the difference; it's most likely made by Native Peoples further south of Texas.
Very large 52 by 82 inches.
    No holes. No tears.
Made in two segments and sewn down the middle.
Some minor stains on each side (both sides are photographed in whole) -  many of which are photographed. Close ups of the largest - you can check the scale against the size of the weave.
I do believe that these would come out with a professional cleaning - some come off when simply scratched with a fingernail. Sadly though, we have no one locally that I would trust to clean it, so I will leave that to the buyer.
Stored folded, so will take some time to lay perfectly flat: mostly the center seem is affected
Still, the weave is tight throughout.  However, the ends with the fringe were never sewn down from what I can tell, so slightly looser at the ends: certainly not badly for a rug nearly 100 years.
I will be sending this by USPS Mail. If you have ANY questions, PLEASE ask before bidding to avoid any misunderstanding or confusion; I want everyone to be happy with their finds.
    Thank you for looking.
