    Description

I am auctioning off my 49-year-old
collectible white porcelain coffee mug of the
Boy Scouts of America Camp Daniel Boone of North Carolina's Daniel Boone Council. Camp Daniel Boone is in Canton, N.C.  The mug has the classic gold ring around the top so popular with the Boy Scouts in the late 1960s and 1970s.
This mug has a weighted bottom, and measures 3.25 inches tall, 3.5 inches in diameter, and weighs 10 ounces. It has an easy-to-grasp handle, and holds about 10 ounces of coffee.
This mug is in great condition, with a fresh bright four-color (orange, yellow, green, and brown) logo -- plus the gold rim. The logo is an orange-ringed oval, with a green map of North Carolina in the middle, and yellow filling in the background inside the orange green. Across the map is a long rifle of the type used by Daniel Boone, along with a powderhorn.
The mug includes the year -- "1971" -- and it is is in great shape, with no chips, cracks, or missing porcelain. Your best guide to condition is the set of large, high-resolution, pictures I've included with this listing. Because of the Daniel Boone connection, this has always been one of the most popular mugs in my BSA mug collection, most of which are up for auction along with this one.
If you decide to bid, good luck! If you win the auction, I'll pack your mug carefully and ship it to you via USPS the day after payment.
