    Description

WW1 Steyr Mannlicher M95 ammo pouch German-made for Bulgarian army Marked 1916. The Bulgarian army imported as its main infantry rifle the 1895
Steyr Mannlicher, made in Austria-Hungary. Chronically short on all types of gear, and since Austria-Hungary had supply problems of its own, German stepped in to supply its ally Bulgaria with gear such as this rare M95 pouch, marked 'Franz Corbau Berlin 1916' Franz Corbau was a manufacturer in Germany through to the end of WW2. No other markings except for 'T.A.T.' scratched on the bottom, probably by whomever had it issued to him. The pouch is in excellent condition for its age and likely wartime service, wherever and whenever that might have been.
