    Description

    Replica sling for the German Gew.88 Comission rifle, this is the second pattern with the swivel buckle and the sewn on detachable swivel.  The detachable swivel, parade loop, and swivel buckle are original hardware.  The sling is made just like the original German Model following the pictures and descriptions from Paul Pietsch's book on Prussian equipment and uniforms.  Made of saddle leather, stitched with natural linen thread in the same pattern as the original.  Leather is dyed medium brown, again just like the original slings.  Metal is the same pattern as the original.  I make the slings myself, from cutting, to dyeing, to stitching.  I have been making these slings for over 40 years.  Original slings are impossible to find and would be 3-4 times the price of this sling.  I make slings for the following German rifles:  IG1809, IG 1839, Dreyse Needle Guns, IG71, Kar.71, JB.71, 71/84, JB71/84, Gew.88, Kar.88, Gew.91, Gew98, Kar98AZ, Kar98b, Kar.98a, KKW, and DSM.  Check out my other listings.  Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
